It was decided that when my mum passed away she would wear her wedding dress to the funeral.  The dress was 49 years old, hand made by herself so no care label and had some stains from the day as well as yellowing to the lace from age.  I brought it to Acorns, I knew of their reputation for cleaning wedding dresses and hoped they could help with such an old dress.  What they did was amazing, my mums dress looks beautiful, it is perfect.  Acorns went beyond our expectations, they were compassionate and understood the gravity of handling such an important, delicate and sentimental dress.  I could not recommend them more highly. Absolutely wonderful experience at Acorns of Accrington! After a December wedding, the long train of my daughter’s wedding dress was very soiled, but has been transformed after being cleaned by Acorns of Accrington. I was recommended Acorns of Lancashire by a wedding tailor. After I bought a second hand wedding dress, I realised it had not been cleaned after the wedding, and had been sat in a box for a while! Mud, drinks spillages and the fabric tag cut off! I was told that they would try their best to bring it back to how it should be, but they couldn't guarantee it, not knowing exactly what the fabrics were made out of. I left it with them, and was told that due to the Christmas rush, it would be ready by the end of January, well within the timeframe needed for my wedding in 2026. However, within a week, I had a call saying they had managed to squeeze my dress in, and it was ready to collect. The dress had come up beautifully, and I couldn't be more grateful.
